# Execute: Agentic AI solutions

> Execute is the third of the platform's three moves. AI agents reclaim unused licenses once the customer approves. A person the customer names approves each fix, or sets a policy that governs fixes of that kind. The agent then makes the change in the source system and logs it. If the fix needs a person, the agent opens the ticket or prepares the renewal brief. This page shows one fix from Found to Approved and what the agent then did, explains how an agentic solution is built, then shows one tile for each of the five solutions of the site. The agentic solutions under each solution are listed in this agent version.

## Where this sits

The platform works in three moves, and each move runs on one part of the platform.

| Move | Part of the platform | Layers | What it holds | Page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Link | Asset Knowledge Graph | L1 Ingestion, L2 Transformation, L3 Asset Knowledge Graph | Sources | Link: Asset Knowledge Graph |
| Think | Data Intelligence Engine | L4 Intelligence | Data products | Think: Data Intelligence Engine |
| Execute | Agentic AI | L5 Action, L6 Interfaces | Agentic solutions | Execute: Agentic AI Solutions |

This page covers Execute.

## What Execute produces

Example, with example data: one fix from Found to Approved. The item: 212 licenses nobody has used in 90 days, $92,000 a year, owned by end-user computing.

| State | Time | What happened |
|---|---|---|
| Found | | An agent read, matched and priced them. Nothing changed. |
| Approved | 09:14 | Approved by the VP, End-user computing. |
| Approved | 09:31 | An Asato agent reclaimed the 212 licenses. The change was logged: who, what, when and why. |

The example carries no Saved figure.

Caption on the page: Example data. The owner approved the fix, and an agent reclaimed the 212 licenses and logged the change. The item stays Approved until the saving is agreed.

## Found, Approved, Saved

Found, Approved and Saved are three separate figures. A saving passes through the three states in that order.

| State | Who acts | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Found | Agents | They read, match and price. Nothing changes. |
| Approved | A person the customer names, then agents | That person approves each fix, or sets a policy that governs fixes of that kind. The agent then makes the change in the system that owns the record and logs it: who, what, when and why. If the fix needs a person, the agent opens the ticket or prepares the renewal brief. |
| Saved | The customer and Asato | A Saved figure is agreed jointly by the customer and Asato at the close of the engagement. |

Caption on the page: Asato platform. A saving passes through three states, and a different party acts in each. An agent can find and price on its own.

## Measured results

A multi-site health system has saved all the software waste Asato found. Further hardware waste is approved, not yet saved. Asato found the software waste in three weeks. The hardware waste is a different sum. The health system is described, not named, and has no case study page.

- Found: $1.9M of software waste, found in three weeks.
- Approved: $1.4M of further hardware waste, approved and not yet saved.
- Saved: $1.9M, the same software waste, since saved.

Caption on the page: Customer data, rounded. The $1.9M is one sum, found and since saved, and the $1.4M is different waste. Saved figures are agreed jointly by the customer and Asato at the close of the engagement.

Found, Approved and Saved are separate figures and are never added together.

## How Execute works

**How an agentic solution is built up.** Each agentic solution is built up from small tools. Four building blocks, each built from the one before:

1. Atomic tools: single actions, such as sending an email or running a query.
2. Atomic agents: tools chained to do one task, such as extracting the text of a PDF or emailing specific users.
3. Agents: agents and tools that deliver a full use case. The example is contract renewal intelligence: extracting clauses from a document, forecasting renewals, and triggering alerts and workflows.
4. Agentic solutions: packaged end to end, on data products, for one business outcome. Example: Renewal Prep, built on the data products Renewal Intelligence, Vendor Financial 360, Software Visibility and Microsoft Optimization.

These are building blocks. They do not rank how far an agent acts alone.

Caption on the page: Asato platform. Each block is built from the one before it. The last block is an agentic solution, such as Renewal Prep.

**What an agent is.** An agent decides its next step and uses the tools it is given: it decides the next action from the context it is in, works toward a goal without step-by-step instructions, reads the situation and adapts, and uses the tools available to it.

**Interfaces (L6).** A customer works with Asato in Asato Halo, in the tools it already uses, or in a dashboard: Asato Halo, a reasoning agent beside the IT team; headless, where Asato's MCP interface connects to the tool the customer chooses, such as Slack, Teams, Claude or ChatGPT; and dashboards, with custom dashboards, alerts and queries.

## The agentic solutions

The page shows them as tiles at group level only: one tile for each of the five solutions of the site, with the name of the solution, one line on what Asato's agents do there and a link to the page of that solution. A closing tile reads "And many more. New agentic solutions ship regularly." No agentic solution is named on a tile. The line on each tile:

- Control AI spend: Agents find dormant AI seats, propose an owner for each key, and set the budgets the customer approves.
- Right-size software: Agents propose the downgrades and reclaims for each user, and carry out the ones the customer approves.
- Stop paying for idle hardware: Agents find devices held by people who have left, and plan each refresh from warranty dates.
- Rationalize your portfolio: Agents recommend which applications to keep, consolidate or retire, and route each new one for a decision.
- Stay ahead of contracts: Agents model the quantities and prepare the brief the customer's own negotiator takes into a renewal.

The full list is given here, in the agent version. It is grouped under the five solutions of the site: Control AI spend, Right-size software, Stop paying for idle hardware, Rationalize your portfolio, Stay ahead of contracts. The list is not complete: new agentic solutions ship regularly.

### Control AI spend

Solution page: https://www.asato.ai/control-ai-spend

| Agentic solution | What it does | Built on these data products |
|---|---|---|
| AI Seat Reclaim | Proposes dormant AI seats for waitlisted users and, once approved, reallocates them and sets per-user token budgets. | AI Utilization, Cursor Utilization, OpenAI Utilization, Microsoft Utilization |
| AI Spend Anomaly | Watches daily AI token and cost patterns, alerts on spikes, and escalates to the program owner. | AI Utilization, AI Credit Governance, Cursor Utilization, OpenAI Utilization |
| Credit Governance | Applies approved per-team credit budgets to AI billed by credit or token, attributes spend to a workflow, and forecasts the run rate before the cycle closes. | AI Credit Governance, AI Utilization, IT Cost Transparency |
| GitHub Rightsizing | Proposes dormant Enterprise seats to reclaim and Copilot allocations to right-size from IDE activity, and makes the changes once they are approved. | GitHub Optimization, App Utilization |
| AI Impact Analysis | Prices the measured delivery lift from AI coding tools against their seat and token cost, and reallocates where the lift is not there. | SEI AI Impact ROI, Copilot License & Adoption, GitHub Copilot Insights, AI Utilization |
| AI Owner Acceptance | Finds each API key, workspace, seat, and agent in the vendors' admin feeds, proposes an owner, and asks that person to accept it. Nothing counts as owned until the owner accepts and the feed confirms. | AI Key & Agent Register, AI Spend Coverage |
| AI Monthly Close | Runs the monthly AI close with budget owners: matches spend to invoices, produces showback by department, and settles a dispute by showing how the row's amount and owner were obtained. | AI Spend Attribution, AI Spend Coverage, AI Key & Agent Register |
| AI Budget Enforcement | After approval, writes one budget policy into each vendor's own spend limits or the company's AI gateway, then reads the limit back. Where a limit can only be set by hand, the owner gets the exact console step and the result is checked. Asato never sits in the path of AI traffic. | AI Budget & Limit Position, AI Key & Agent Register |
| AI Usage Request Intake | Puts requests for more usage from each vendor in one queue. A small raise inside the company's cap is approved by policy, a larger one goes to the manager with the team's budget attached, and each raise is put back on its end date. | AI Budget & Limit Position, AI Spend Attribution |
| Runaway Agent Stop | Stops one runaway agent without stopping the services that share its provider key. A budget written in advance to the agent's own gateway key makes the gateway refuse its calls, the owner is alerted, and the stop is confirmed from the gateway log. Without a gateway, the owner gets the console step. | AI Key & Agent Register, AI Budget & Limit Position, AI Utilization |
| Confirmed Savings Reporting | Reads the source again after each change and keeps found, approved and saved as three separate figures. Only the saved figure is reported as a saving. | AI Savings Confirmation, AI Spend Attribution |
| AI Renewal Readiness | Before each AI vendor renewal, lists the idle seats and the credits that will expire, and prepares the quantity to renew from measured use. | AI Renewal Exposure, AI Utilization, AI Key & Agent Register |

## Next step

The page's heading for this section: No savings, no fee. The line under it: Your Asset Clarity Report: a priced list of savings, in one week. The one action: "Get your Asset Clarity Report", at https://www.asato.ai/talk-to-sales

In one week a customer holds its Asset Clarity Report.

The Asset Clarity Report is a priced list of what to stop paying for in one area, with the owner of each item. It takes one week, and access for that week is read-only. If it finds no savings, the customer pays nothing.
