Right-size software

Pay only for the licenses people use. Asato matches each license to a person and to real use, prices what nobody uses, and carries out the fixes you approve, vendor by vendor. This page is the outcome for any vendor. Microsoft, Salesforce, Adobe and Zoom each have a page of their own.

Headline on the page: Pay only for the licenses people use.

Line under the headline: Asato matches each license to a person and to real use, in every application you buy.

Three checks, on every license

  1. Is there a person behind it? Licenses never assigned to anyone, and seats still paid for after people left.
  2. Does that person use it? Each seat is matched to sign-in and usage records from the systems you already run.
  3. Is it the right tier? People on a higher plan than their use needs. Each change comes with a yearly price and an owner.

By vendor

How it works

Page heading: Link. Think. Execute. The same three moves, whoever the vendor is.

  1. Link: One record. Asato connects, read-only by default, to your identity provider, your finance systems and each vendor's own admin records, and matches them into one.
  2. Think: A priced list. Each license is matched to a named person and to real use. What nobody uses gets a yearly price at your contract rate, and an owner.
  3. Execute: Approved fixes. Once a person you name approves a fix, AI agents carry it out, or route it to the admin who does, and keep watching for new waste.

Results

Page heading: What customers found. And what they saved. Found, Approved and Saved are the only three states of a saving, and are never added together.

Ravi Campbell, VP Information Technology, DART: "Every recommendation was tied to a named user and actual usage data, which made decisions defensible rather than debatable."

The largest software result Asato has published, $4M a year saved at one Microsoft renewal, is told on the Microsoft page: https://www.asato.ai/right-size-microsoft

How a customer starts

Page heading: No savings, no fee. Your Asset Clarity Report: a priced list of savings, in one week. The action is "Get your Asset Clarity Report". The offer: one area, one week, read-only access, and the Asset Clarity Report. Asato's fee is a share of the savings. If it finds no savings, the customer pays nothing.

Questions

The page shows at most five questions, the ones that belong to it. Any others are kept here for agents.

Which vendors does Asato cover?

Four have their own page. Microsoft, Salesforce, Adobe and Zoom each have a page that sets out what Asato checks and what it reads. The Link page lists every source Asato reads.

How does Asato know a license is not used?

It matches it to a person. Asato matches each license to a named person, then to sign-in and usage records from the systems you already run. A license with no person, or a person with no use, is priced at your contract rate and given an owner.

Is this what a SAM tool does?

That, and the fix. Asato gives a license position for each publisher, as a software asset management tool does. It also prices what nobody uses and carries out the fixes you approve. The comparison page sets the two side by side.

How long does it take to start?

One week for one area. Asato connects to the systems you already run, read-only by default, with nothing to install. In one week you hold your Asset Clarity Report: a priced list of what to stop paying for, with the owner of each item.

Who approves a change?

A person you name. Nothing changes until a named person approves it. A person you name approves each fix, or sets a policy that governs fixes of that kind. Each step is logged: who approved it, what changed, where and when.

What does it cost?

A share of the savings. Asato is paid mostly on results: a small share when it finds a saving, and the larger share only once that saving shows up on your invoice. If it finds no savings, you pay nothing.
